Read carefully before downloading!

The Purpose
The purpose of this release is to test EGM for bugs and find missing necessary features. You might run in to crashing bugs, features that do not work, and even features that should be “obviously” included but aren’t. If you do, please let us know immediately at Suggestions or Bug Reports. Just remember, EGM isn’t a finished product just yet. Note that it might take one or two days for us reply to your error at this time depending on the error. We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause.

Let’s start with some of the limitations you will run in to.
25 Day Trial Limits
There are some limits in the trial:
1. Max 10 Maps.
2. Max 4 Heroes.
3. Max 10 Enemies.
4. No Release Mode (No packaging for your game).
5. Requires Login (internet required at start-up).
6. The trial will be reset once it ends. We are aware that putting a trial on a beta product is not fair but the trial system is part of the beta testing and be assured that the trial will be reset once the program is stable enough to fully experience it's trial features. At this time, if your trial ends, please contact us via email.

Beta Limits
1. No Particles (still fine-tuning)
2. Full Support For Xbox (Shooter template has some Xbox support, check it out).
3. Source Code changes will be overridden every project load (still expecting major changes).
4. Lack of documentation.
5. One trial per computer and user. This will be annoying for some but for the first week of the trial you won't be able to log on to EGM from anywhere but the first pc you logged in to from. We are working fast to remove this limitation.
6. Autotiles are not yet implemented.

Other then the above, everything else should be assumed as “supposed to work.” Read here before posting errors.

Help EGM Be the Best!
We are always open to feedback! We are pushing EGM to be a community oriented game maker and we respect the wishes of the community as the private testers have been witness to. However, we are currently a two men team and thus we can’t keep up with all the requests and problems right away. So if you see an idea you like or a problem you think is important, help it get noticed by posting about it.

Please know that, currently at this stage due to a short time frame we won’t be considering any major changes or additions that aren’t absolutely necessary. If you make a suggestion post that spans more than a page, please include at the top that you believe it is absolutely necessary and why it is.

Discounts
When the time comes, EGM will be released as a commercial product. Here are several ways to earn a discount or even get the program for free. You can get a total of 60 points and 60 points equals the full price of the program.

• Write tutorials
  
  • See a tutorial missing? Figured out how to do it yourself? Write a tutorial about it! Each tutorial you write that is accepted as valid will earn you 3 minimum points.
  
  
• Create video tutorials
  
  • Same idea with tutorials but earns 5 minimum points.
  
  
• Create sample mini-games
  
  • Creates mini games that show off EGM’s features and teach them to others. This is will earn you minimum of 10 points if your mini-game is accepted.
  
  
• Create templates
  
  • This will earn you a whopping 20-60 points depending on how well you do.
  
  
• Referrals
  
  • For every new registrant after the trial is released that refers to you and has earned at least 3 points will earn you 3 points. They must add your name in the “referral” field when registering.
    

There will be special forums for submitting tutorials, video, samples mini games, and templates. Read the submission rules and tips, which will be posted, carefully. Each submission will be moderated before posting. You MUST post in these forums if you want to participate.
