Interesting and a good idea, I’ll have to have a think about a request... Just two suggestions, in the request template i would add a line for resolution, so you know what you are working to, especially with egm supporting differing qualities of graphics. And http://www.expressgamemaker.com/Community/Forum/yaf_postst71_EGM-Weekly--5th-March-2010.aspx are examples of the style that will be that rtp for egm, incase someone wanted their request to be the same style.

That style would not be a problem. Added your suggestion.

Update

1) Added suggested Resolution to template.
2) For legal Issues added a notice on Copyrighted material (red text above in CAPS).

Hmm... When can we start making requests?

Type of Item: Tileset
Style: Futuristic
Colors to Use: Building colors in a daylight setting.
Resolution Example: 32x32
Example(s): No examples really come to mind. I haven't seen many 2D games in a futuristic setting.

Description:A Futuristic/Modern Hybrid Big City. Very organic and detailed so that tiles don't feel repetetive. I hope for it to be graphically beautiful and pleasing to the eyes. The over-all mood of the game will be dark, but for now I want to focus on the sunny, or normal side of the game.

Here is the template I will be using for the Character Sprites.
The Paradigm Template
Created by Perihelion. I will increase the original template by 200% so that 32 x 32 tiles fit.

If you need any more details, please let me know.

And I'm also interested about paying for artwork. What are your rates? If I like your stuff, I might look into having some more work done! Use this as a your chance to try and impress me as a possible future client! ^-^

I see that Kiwitiki posted before me. When he figures out what he wants, make that, then come back to me. I can wait. If he wants a tileset, thats okay. I'll request something else. :)

I think what you're are doing is awesome. Keep it up!

@Kooldude

1) 32x32 is not what the template asked for...LOL. Ultimatly it is more of a style, thus an actual example image is needed.
2) Kiwitiki made a suggestion. So by the rules of the topic KoolDude; you are the first.

UPDATE

1) Tile Set was 1st come basis so NO MORE TILE SETS REQUESTS. Sorry.

Lol well, I saw resolution so I figured maybe if refering to tilesets then you were asking about tile size. :p

Hmm... So, do you absolutely need an example image of the style I would like? I really wish I could think of a game with a similar style that comes to mind, but I can't seem to. =/

I don't really know, just let your creativity run wild!

Just think Detail and Organic. =)

You have creative control good sir.

Well resolution is more of a pixel style than an actual thing. I could easily use RMXP resources in a game that runs at 800x600 resolution, but the graphics would be VERY pixelated on a 1024+ resolution.

Oh okay, I think I understand. So basically, the bigger the resolution, the more detail?

Well, I had planned on using the Paradim Template. I edited the post up there with a link to it. They're kinda small. I had intended on zooming them up by 200% to give it a more Chrono Trigger look.

I just tested the Paradigm Template with the second tileset at the bottom and the seem to fit pretty well.

Nice! I'm glad I'm an active member!

I'm surprised that those who qualify aren't jumping in on this. Do it while you still can people!

Since yours is a tileset request. We also need to know EXACTLY what you would like:

1) Trees, bushes, flowers, grass, dirt...
2) Building, houses...
3) dirt roads, modern roads...

And the like.

Ah, but of course!

Well... lets see...

1. Various Building Tiles
2. Windows
3. Sidewalk
4. Modern Road
5. Modern Road symbols (Turn lane, stop line, cross walk, etc...)
6. Stop Lights (ones that reach all the way across the road, not just a simple post with lights) :p
7. Concrete columns and siding (For creating a parking garage.)
8. Street Lights and Telephone Poles
9. Various road and building signs, rooftop vents...
10. Manhole
11. Trees, grass, flowers...
12. Park Bench

Hmm...
This should be enough to get me started. Once I get this and I feel I need more, I will contact you and ask you to continue the work, but this time money will be involved! ^-^

Alright team is in the process of making a 3000x2000 image(s). This image is basically a scene and from this scene they will create a tileset. This means when you see your samples you will see them not as a tileset, but as a completed city image. Once the samples are done and you picked the one like (and we edit anything you don't like about the concept you have chooses) then they will take the SCENE and make it a 32x32 tileset.

Also our tilesets (costume done; paid orders) will be $125 or more. This depends on the request. As for other resources our research team is looking into this.

Awesome! I can't wait!

$125.00 eh?
That actually doesn't sound too bad. It's much more reasonable than 30 dollars an hour, like what a lot of free lancers charge for their service.

Hmm, what about just simple tileset add-ons?

To lessen the amount of post regarding questions, delivery, etc: http://bloodluststudios....?/forum/10-client-area/

Once you register I will give you access to your Client Forum. Also any questions regarding YOUR request ask them in YOUR FORUM. Any general questions ask it in FEEDBACK (will help me get a FAQ going).

==================
SIDE NOTE TO EVERYONE
==================

1) Why did you do a forum and not a site...seems unprofessional!?

a) We chose a forum because it will allow you to have easy access to ALL designers. Plus a having a full website means taking time or paying someone to update it. A forum works better for us and allows us to focus on the WORK not the site.

2) Is the site/service official open?

a) No, this just lessens the amount of useless posts in this topic. We are not taking requests or anything at this time (except IN THIS TOPIC).

I do, but not of everything you can request. I have many Stance image examples located here: http://www.expressgamema...pics12_Talent-Show.aspx (also the post by OTAKU is my old account).

As for character sets, icons, etc. no sample simply because we don't have the time just to make sample images so people can decided if they want to utilize this FREE service exclusive to EGM Community. You are granted the rights of a paying customer in this BETA, which means unlimited revisions until you are satisfied.

Now yes some may not like my examples I HAVE provided, but remember I created them TILL I was satisfied. So even if people find things they don't like about them you are granted revisions untill YOU are satisfied.

ATTENTION

Once I have seen the beta (been able to mess with it) I may open it up for you to request other types of resources (like perhaps the ones under the TOS as CAN NOT REQUEST; this depends on a few things though).
