Hey!

So I'm here to show off a few things that I hve recently done in Bryce.

I'm not all that great at it, but hey, I think it's fun!
I'm almost 99% positive that I'm going to use Pre-Rendered backgrounds for my game.

Keep in mind, like I said, I do this for fun, I'm not a pro, and I couldn't model to save my life!
Simple stuff, I'm not too bad at...

A lil' Tiki Hut! (Done in AC3D)

Beach, with an ugly Tiki Hut

Mystical Place?

Wouldn't want to be here, yo!

So yeah, please let me know what you think! Dancing

Those are very good. Im just beginning to learn 3DS Max and just to make some of them things would take me all month.

The hut looks good, the only thing you should do is change the texture of the top like the sides.

Thanks! =D

I could never get the hang of 3DS Max, I like it to be simple, know what I mean?
But it could be simple, but maybe I just never put the time into realizing how simple it is.

Which hut? The hut by itself or the huts in the bryce rendered image?
I updated the hut the day after rendering that image, so I uploaded the updated hut as well as the rendered scene.

Nice stuff, i tried my hand at 3D work but could never do anything that looked remotely like a normal object. so prerendered mean that if you render this stuff it'll look even cooler? lol you should do it :P

Thanks.

Nah, these are all ready rendered, pre-rendered means that they're already rendered so that it doesn't have to be rendered later with all the other stuff like the player or game objects, and this allows you to have much more realistic scenes. The bad thing about this though, is there is no rotating the camera, without making an animation of moving the camera then saving the avi as a sequence of images... And also, you'll need cut out the trees and set it up so that the player can walk behind them, and lets not forget about shadows and lighting... Think

But I agree, I think it will look very cool, and it'll definatly make the game stand out if I can pull it all off!
BigGrin

I've seen youtube videos of people who used Rm2k and a ton of Pictures and stuff to make their own 3D battle system! You should definatly check it out, it's actually really amazing!

Just look up RM2k 3D or something, you'll find results.

Indeed they did, the graphics are good... your still a beginner?
it looks like you put the graphics on individually..?

I started on 3D characters and animation but kinda put that aside,
but I learned to put all the graphics I need on one pic to save space.

I've always had the stuff sitting on my desktop, I just never got serious about it until recently

Hmm? I modeled some of the stuff outside of Bryce, then imported them into it and rendered the final image

I have a really hard time modeling organic stuff! I couldn't do Box modeling, which seems like it should be the easiest, but I can't seem to comprehend how to round the box off! O.o
Stupid right?

So I started using cylinders instead! I get better results, but theyre still not that great. Think

Hmm... Favorite program so far was Blender... I think

It was the easiest beginner 3D renderer I (still) use. came with everything I needed , scripts... advanced texturing, all sorts of useful crap

don't know where it disapeared to on my computer... :\ it seems like you should give it a shot, hearing what your problems are that is.

lol actually... if you spend like 2 minutes with it... it ends up being pretty simple...

I'd show what I made but I lost my screenshots and Blender itself
though I get what you mean, it's a bit overwhelming at first...
