Hmm, it seems as though your computer cannot connect with the update server.
Have you tried adding EGM to your firewall exceptions?

I tried it again and it worked, but now I'm getting EGM has stopped working issues left and right. Help! I really wanna use this more!

Was messing around with this on a friends PC. Haven't done much, but is there going to be an offline mode?

I can't always be online all the time.

The offline mode will be a privilege of the final release, as for now we wanted to fully test the new trial system, and in doing so created this connection dependency.
As we have posted around the site, when the final version is released a connection will only be required for the initial activation.

It was random, but now It's fine.. For now. I'm not on my regular computer right now so I can't determine how it's doing. Thanks for all the help.
