I would like to make a request.

See, I have been working on trying to get some battlers together for my game Luminous. They are intended to work with my battle system (GTBS for RMXP). My hope is to convert this to EGM as soon as I can get my hands on the beta.

What I am looking for would be a full character sheet, however this character sheet would be only a template. I can add the clothes etc to them for later. My main problem has been when the animation of them, and I hope to have you and your team, help me kill that limitation I have had. Below is an example of a sprite a friend of mine and I had worked on. It is incomplete, but gives the basic layout that I am looking for.

This is an example of a tileset in which I have been creating for the game. The template should somewhat follow the saturation levels etc and color tone of the tileset.

This should be 8 directional human and similar size to the given example. As 'Stances' in my battle system are nothing more than character set adjustments, it would need to be made in each of the directions as well. I would prefer to see the following stances created from this: (preferably 6 frames for each direction)
Attack
Attack2 (different attack method using primary weapon) perhaps a left spin instead of right, or jump attack instead of stab/swing
Pain (stance in which people, while being attack, will go into)

One last mention here is that not all animations must be 6 frames. Infact they can be 50 if you choose, as the animation system in my game can increase/decrease frame speed of a particular sprite and overall length. This being the case, they can be staggered even for the same person. ^_^

Might I also mention that I am not afraid to switch this to 3d. That being the case, I will redraw my scenes in 3d, so if you can come up with a 3d template for charsets, then I am sure those could work as well.

Thanks again for this super big help!

Hey KageKazumi, is there something wrong with the site? Everytime I try and get on it I get a forbidden error.

Sorry, I moved the forum and where the forum is the site will be. However I ended up with a database error so as of now both are down and I am looking into the error causing it.

Sorry, I forgot to put it in the request template. :(

Type of Item: full character sheet, 8 dirrectional
Style: based from example
Colors to Use: based from tileset example (should be template only, not a individual character)
Colors Not to Use:
Logo Name (needed for logos and Title Screens):
Slogan (needed for logos and title screens):
Resolution Image Example: Should be of a similar of size to the given example.
Example(s):

And the tileset in which this character will be added to should somewhat match/blend with the following partial tileset:

Description:
This should be a template only, I can add clothes/etc later. This should be 8 directional human and similar size to the given example. Hmm... I think what KageKazumi was trying to tell you is that he doesn't do templates. I remember somewhere on the original post, before it was edited, he said that no edits can be made to the finished work, but recolors were fine.

But I'm not 100% sure.

Well, if need be then, just finish that character. I am confident enough in adjusting clothing etc, that I could work with it. Either way, as I stated in my first post, If I can just get past the initial animation stuff then I can probably do the rest myself. I am just looking for some assistance to get it moving along.

As stated in...

WHAT CAN I NOT REQUEST

If you own the rights you will have to prove it, if you have permission, you have to prove it.

That picture is a original sprite. It was not copied pulled from any other game etc. I thought I had put it up there, but this is something me and my friend put together. I dont have any method of 'proving' it because I did it myself and dont keep any documentation. I can give you different variations of it as it has been built I suppose. Either way, it is original, as are my graphics for the level etc. I did them all myself.

If you can do this why request, what you can do? Not that I am saying I wont; I just find it odd.

As I said, I am just having trouble getting them animated. If I can get beyond that hurdle then it would save me loads and loads of time. Its just not my forte.

So you mean you need something like an Animated Battler Sheet?

Like This (or something close to it): http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/6039/arshes.png

Yeah, basically. Here is an example template for my battle system..
and this is the base template

I plan on using mine in an isometric setting so each of the directions would be according to isometric standard. Also note that the animations for this dont have to be in direct order. By this I mean that instead of repeating a frame on the sheet, I can tell that frame to repeat itself based on script entry stuff. So if one frame needs to repeat, it should only be in the animation once. It also does not need to be 6 frames, but I would prefer it for a smoother animation.

Ids this something you need ASAP, because Kooldude is waiting 3-4 weeks for his and this means your wait would be longer.

No rush. I wont even be in the states for the next 2 weeks anyway, so it wouldn't do me any good to receive it before then. Besides, this gives me more time to focus on tilesets rather than the characters, for now. Thanks again for doing this. It should be a huge help.
